Azaleas Web Design Services
Here's where we determine what works best for you;
one custom-made web page template,
or - a customized template with a few pages filled in, named, and linked together
or - a personal, domain-name Blog site set up just for you - easy to use
or - a SiteBuildIt! site set up and some initial coaching until you know how to use it
(IF - you can talk me into building a sit for you; I charge $20/hr that I spend on it, and it
will take several months, because of time constraints)
I do have some artistic sensibilities, so if you just tell me you want a site that looks feminine
and romantic and is about your books, there are still lots of ways to express that. So I need
to ask you a number of questions.
This will work best if you fill out the Request-Form to give me
the basic details, and then we'll continue our dialogue by email.
For instance, if you tell me that your site should be themed around your nickname, Granny
Apple, I can immediately think of several ways to do that. We need to narrow it down some
more.
What type of person do you hope to attract?
What do you want that person to do or feel at your site? What's the most desired response you'd like
from them? A successful site always zeros in on obtaining that goal first and foremost! Other
areas of interest can be added via small links, but the main page must announce that you have what
your desired guest wants.
What type of site and services would such people most appreciate? What might turn them off in
disgust?
Another angle; what is your writing about? Have you already got books published? Then we can
and should use the mood and theme from those books to create atmosphere on your site.
If you have an ezine or mailing list we'll need to plan a prominent spot for your signup form
or link, and a bit about the ezine.
If you are hoping to sell your books, or make your writing services available to others, we
need to have a trim, consistent look to the site, but add enough information about you, including a
photo, so the shy visitor feels like she or he knows you well enough to trust you.
Design Process: Step 1
After some emails back and forth, when you've given me enough information, and I feel I could design
your site, you will send me a deposit of $25 to seal the deal. I would put up my efforts on your
behalf at a private site that I do not advertise and send you the URL to have a look. Then I make
changes as we agree on them. When you are happy with the basic template look, you pay the rest -
Or - if you wish, I could add any other pages you want, marked with the spots where you can add new
material as you please, and email the pages to you in raw html code.
You Set Up your Site: Step 2
You would make a folder on your computer to save them, find your domain and web host, and get a free
FTP program. Now you are set to upload your site, and be in business! From here on in, it is
maintenance and adding pages, using your NEW template like a cookie cutter.
If that step up process overwhelms you, I can do it for you too. But the sooner you work with
your own web pages and become proficient in their use, the more independence you will have.
Ready? Set? Go!
Please fill out the Request form with your initial questions to get
a snapshot of what your site looks like in your mind, and what you hope to accomplish with it.
This starts our discussions!
Note: I am presently as busy as I can be. I am not seeking new clients at this time. Thank you for your interest.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
PayPal - You can deposit $25 in my PayPal Account. But to avoid revealing my email for the SPAM Bots I'd prefer to have you drop me a note in the Request Form, and indicate your wish. Then I'll send you the email address to use.
Cheque or Money Order is acceptable too. Just mail your check for $25 by snail mail to: (Can be in Canadian funds if you like. I'll give you the exchange rate as a discount to make up for the longer wait):
