Your Disciples' Cross Pendant Necklace

These are Christian, or religious cross necklaces, and also modern unisex costume jewellry made of 4 bent horseshoe nails, wound around with brilliant coloured copper wire. They hang from a strong black cotton cord, which is adjustable to any length with two slip-knots that are at the back of the neck.
Men, women, teens and kids all love these cross necklaces. The younger generation especially, will often want to buy them as soon as they see them.
They come in assorted colors (depending on current stock of coloured copper wire) and make great gifts and prizes in many situations.

These Crosses have meaning. Not only do they remind us of the cross on which Jesus Christ, the Son
of God, died for the sins of all the human race, and the nails that were pierced through His hands
to hold him there, but also the cross (spiritually speaking) His followers or disciples take up
willingly when we choose to love and obey Jesus, no matter what the public shame this may draw to
us.
I see additional symbolism in the nails as the inner strength Christ gives us when we abide in Him,
and His Word abides in us. This strength is wrapped with copper wire. Copper is a metal that is
easily mallable in the way we are to have a humble, servant heart, always putting others first.. At
the same time copper is resistant to corrosion; in the same way we are to resist evil, and not be
damaged by it. The copper wire is brilliantly coloured, showing how our lives become attractive and
winsome when we are filled with God's Spirit, and abiding in Jesus!
Wearing a cross necklace like this declares our affiliation with Christ Jesus. This will attract
those of like-minded faith, and repel those that want nothing to do with Jesus. They may react to
us in a negative way, but then we'll know where they stand, and can witness or take up spiritual
warfare as God leads us.
(Some people will of course, attach more meaning than others, when they wear them).

These Disciples Cross necklaces were made at home by my Dad, who was 91 and still loved to
work with his hands. It does take some manual strength and dexterity to bend these nails and put
them together. Dad died on February 24, 2007. The last few of these cross necklaces left are for sale in local stores here in Saskatoon.
Therefore, I don't have any more of these necklaces left to offer for sale. I myself don't have time to make them. (Though I am hoping my brother might start).
If you live in the USA and are interested in ordering a kit
to learn to make such crosses too, check out this site:

If, like us you live over the border, in Canada, you have to work on your own, and do your own marketing.
